The University grand commission has permitted candidates to pursue a PhD through part time mode, For this the institute will require a No Objection Certificate from authority concerned in the organization where the candidates is employed.  The NOC should specify that he or she is permitted to pursue studies on a part time basis and that his official duties permit to devote sufficient time for research. The all India Council for technical education has recently launched technical text books for engineering courses in Marathi. The books have been introduced after the government decided to have engineering books 11 languages to support from non English medium schools.  In 2021 AICTE has initiated the translation work to publish 218 books and the Maharashtra government recently 20 engineering books in Marathi to help students.  Harshadeep s joshi, assistant professor, Babasaheb Ambedkar technological university ,lonere, Maharashtra who was among the panel involved with the translation of engineering books in Marathi hails the initiative to be supportive students.  The target group is the students from rural Maharashtra, where Marathi is the primary language. Private universities aspiring to get deemed to be status and retain it for consecutive years will have to follow regulations by the UGC.  As per the new regulations, instructions with as many as five departments that have NAAC accreditation of 3.1 consecutively for three years for two thirds of their eligible programs will get the deemed to be university status.  Now, the HEIs would not have to wait for 20years to get the status. In addition to this, the account books will have to be maintained and operated in the name of deemed universitiy, to avoid financial irregularities.  This decision by the UGC is progressive and will enable more universities to get deemed to be University status. The defence research and development organization had entered into a collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur for establishing a DRDO industry academica center of excellence at IIT Jodhpur.   The centre of excellence is being setup with an aim to pursue directed research in desert welfare technologies, futuristic omni mobility system, artificial intelligence for information and wargaming technologies. Along with this the center of excellence will also undertake science and technology initiatives.  The research will be carried out by the faculty members and students of IIT Jodhpur in collaboration with different laboratories of DRDO as well as industry and other academic, research institutes.
